Algeria Suffers Some Internet Disruptions As Unrest Intensifies

Protests in Algeria intensified over the weekend, and the Algerian government responded by blocking access to Facebook accounts and several Internet service providers across the country.

Foursquare Translated into 5 New Languages

Foursquare co-founder and CEO Dennis Crowley announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that the location-based checkin service is now available in five new languages — Spanish, French, German, Italian and Japanese — and that it now boasts 6.5 million users and 2 million checkins per day.
