Discovr Apps [iTunes link] understands the interconnectivity between applications and works to build out interactive and never-ending app maps based on a single application selection.
Search for an app, or select from Discovr’s recommended and suggested apps, and watch as the application sprouts an application tree that expands to highlight the relationships between applications. Click on any of the apps in the map and Discovr will continue to sprout new branches, leading to new apps. You can pinch the map to zoom in or out.
The application is perfectly suited for app discovery on iPad or iPhone, and allows you to click apps to read their descriptions or purch ase them from the App Store. You can also share apps and maps out to Facebook and Twitter.
Discovr Apps is a $0.99 app for iPhone and iPad. It comes from Filter Squad, the same folks who brought us the impressive Discovr Music application earlier this year. The Australia-based startup focuses on building applications that help users find things they might like.
