Social media is a force to be reckoned with. In the past year, it has been an outlet for victims of injustice, spread information in times of crisis and changed the way we live our lives overall. It’s certainly a revolution worth celebrating.
And what better way to celebrate social media than by socializing? You can follow online by tracking the #smday hashtag on Twitter, Instagram, Flickr and YouTube, or you can connect offline by attending a Social Media Day Meetup near you. There are 1,419 Meetups with more than 8,500 attendees on six continents. And nine cities and one U.S. state have declared the day official.
